Having got used to the pleasures of modern day living, most of us forget about some of the most basic things when we go out camping. We can spend months planning for the best camping trips but somehow we forget that there is a need to eat.
How would you feel if you ended up not eating you catch just because you forgot to carry camping cooking equipment? Of course you are not expected to carry your kitchen with you but there are a few basic items that you should and can carry with you during your next camping trip. Failure to plan for this can lead to a very hungry trip.
Of course probably the first thing that one thinks about is the cooking utensils. You do not need to carry your slow cooker but carrying with you simple aluminium plates, cutlery, pots and pans is a good idea. Aluminium camping cooking equipment is light and easy to clean. Most important, they can save on space as they can be stored easily inside each other.
One of the best camping cooking tools to carry with you is Aluminium foil. Aluminium foil can be put into a myriad of uses in a camp site. You can use it as plate or even a cup if you have forgotten to carry one. You can also use it to keep your food fresh such as fish you just caught. Most important, just wrap your food in the foil and grill, steam and even bake to your heart’s desire.
We may not like it but cleaning dishes is a chore in a camp just as it is at home. The only difference is that when we are cleaning our camp cooking equipment, we must ensure that we do not pollute the environment. It is important to carry biodegradable environmentally friendly detergents and cleaning cloths during these camping trips. It is our duty to leave the camp better than we found it.
The cooking equipment you can carry is only limited by your imagination. You should however consider their use, their weight, their space saving and even their environment friendliness before you choose them.
