Indoor skydiving and flyaway indoor skydiving have become more and more popular since the early eighties. In those cities known for entertainment, more and more wind tunnels are being built to accomadate the rising popularity of indoor skydiving. Las Vegas indoor skydiving is a sport that is not only enjoyed by everyday vacationers but also by the famous who want to have some form of escape.   Indoor skydiving is a much safer way to experience the flight of freefall, and is also much more cost effective.  

Training

Training classes are required when going to an indoor skydiving tunnel in in Las Vegas for the first time. This is to make the person aware of basic saftey procedures and flying techniques as to avoid injury. Indoor skydiving classes in Las Vegas are offered throughout the day and are reepeated over and over again so that anyone wanting to take the class will be able to get in. When the class is finished you will be ale to enter into the tunnel for your first flight. After the basics are down then you can jump in and practice.

If jumping out of an airplane catches your interest then you might consider indoor skydiving as a starting point.   Since the air in the wind tunnels is usually moving at about one hundred twenty miles per hour, the individual can practice free falling techniques so that they will be better prepared for skydiving from the plane. Many experts use indoor skydiving as a means to practice and gain more air time thereby reducing the cost you would norally have in renting an airplane.

In order to participate in indoor skydiving in Las Vegas, individuals should wear comfortable clothing and have to be at least forty pounds. For saftey reasons children will need to be accommpanied by their parents in order to participate. Since there is such a low chance of injury, and because it is a relatively low impact sport, any age can enjoy the thrill and experince of indoor skydiving. The height to weight ratio will set the criteria used to qualify an individual to take the indoor skydiving flight. Women may not weigh more than 160lbs if they are under 5′ 6″, men must be less than 180lbs if they are under 5′ 6″.
